The Empress is the archetype of the giving, responsive mother. Yes, for some readers, this card could suggest actual pregnancy, or for connecting with your mother, mother-figure, or mother-energy. For most others, though, it’s a metaphor for creativity, nurturing, receptivity, and holding safe spaces. This card supports: planting, feeding, decorating, hosting parties, artistic endeavors, craft projects, time in nature, love-making, doula-ing – things like that.
